Working independently under minimal supervision, this position provides administrative support of a complex nature to an operations district/s using analysis, innovation and judgment. Work focuses on acquiring a more in-depth knowledge of technical, job-related aspects of operations and the company. May train or mentor others.
Hiring from external sources generally occurs at district administrator 1 or 2. Promotion within the job ladder to this level may occur after 36 months as a District Administrator 2. To progress more quickly, the incumbent must have received an "exceeds expectations" or better rating on their latest performance review and have demonstrated continuous learning and acquisition of knowledge and skills to function satisfactorily at this level. An associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent clerical or administrative experience plus five or more years' clerical/administrative. Typically, three years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate's degree. Proficiency in administrative work, oral and written communications, interpersonal relations, organizational and time management skills, including proficiency in developing clear and concise work papers. Proficiency in the use and application of computer programs: word processing, financial spreadsheets, e-mail programs, presentation and database, and ability to use proprietary and customized software for financial, budget, compliance, regulatory, and time reporting purposes. Strong math and writing skills, including proper spelling and grammar. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
