Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
•Lead and coordinate the response to hazardous material spills, including containment, cleanup, and disposal.
•Conduct regular training sessions and emergency drills for spill response teams to ensure preparedness.
•Perform risk assessments to identify potential spill hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
•Ensure all spill response activities comply with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards.
•Document all spill incidents, including response actions taken and lessons learned, to improve future preparedness.
•Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and contractors to ensure effective spill response.
•Manage spill response equipment and materials, ensuring they are readily available and in good condition.

Minimum Education and Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
•3-5 years of experience in hazardous material management, with at least 2 years in spill response supervision.
•Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in crisis situations.
•Relevant certifications such as Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) or similar credentials are preferred.
Work Environment
•Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
•Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
•Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
