Job Description

This role is responsible for assigned functions in the development, testing, and lifecycle management of augmented, virtual, and mixed reality hardware and software. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality extended reality (XR) solutions that enhance student learning and operational efficiency within the organization, using Unity as the primary development engine and an OpenXR-compliant platform.

Job Description Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

+ 3D Development: Design, implement, and maintain XR applications and systems using Unity and OpenXR. + Testing: Conduct thorough testing of XR hardware and software to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability, including multiplayer environments and various peripherals. + Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of XR products, including updates, upgrades, and decommissioning. + Hardware Integration: Integrate and optimize various XR hardware components such as omnidirectional treadmills, haptic gloves, and other peripherals to ensure seamless operation within the XR environment. + UX/UI Design: Develop and implement intuitive user interfaces and user experiences tailored for XR applications, ensuring ease of use and engagement for end users.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

Location: 5303 Spectrum Drive, Suite K, Frederick, MD

Work Site Expectations: 5 days a week in office

Travel Expectations: Up to 10% as project requires

Hours: standard office schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri

Compensation

Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them.
