Join our team as a Specialist Governance Advisor, where you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the improvement of end-to-end project delivery across the enterprise. In this position, you will champion the Develop & Manage Projects process and facilitate Independent Gate Reviews for Suncor's biggest projects.

- Strong understanding of, and demonstrated experience working within, the full project lifecycle
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Strong decision quality skillset
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead prioritized initiatives including supporting change management of impacted stakeholders
- Facilitate Independent Gate Reviews to provide objective assessments of high-cost and highly complex projects. Guide review teams to develop robust review findings that drive actionable outcomes
- Provide D&MP coaching to project teams within stages and prior to gate reviews
- Champion the delivery of prioritized improvement initiatives for the Develop & Manage Projects process by identifying gaps, surfacing systemic issues, and recommending process enhancements to ensure a robust and effective process
- Optimize integration of the Develop & Manage Projects process with other enterprise processes including risk management and business planning.
- Take a leading role in competency development for project practitioners and stakeholders across the enterprise through training, coaching, providing quality assurance and creating guidance material
- Take a leading role in implementing, training, coaching, and sustainment of decision quality enterprise-wide, including supporting practitioners in framing and initiating work
- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
