As part of our Business Innovation Team, the Business Solutions Specialist will act as a strategic partner, working closely with the Business Innovation Manager and the Business Solutions Support roles to drive projects, process improvements, and innovative solutions. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who thrives in ambiguity, embraces technology innovation and exploration, and is eager to grow into a future leadership role. In addition to leading new projects, the Business Solutions Specialist will play a key role in improving existing processes, translating business needs into actionable solutions, and fostering collaboration across multiple business units and departments. - Strategic Leadership:
- Work closely with the Business Innovation team to ensure seamless communication and execution of projects.
- Collaborate with the Business Innovation Manager to brainstorm, strategize, and refine ideas for projects and process improvements.
- Take ownership of projects and process improvement initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
- Project & Process Management:
- Lead diverse projects requiring exploration, discovery, and adaptability to changing scopes.
- Partner with business units, departments, and division leaders to translate business needs and ideas into tactical, actionable solutions.
- Develop project plans, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, whether through technology or procedural enhancements, and implement solutions to optimize workflows.
- Define and monitor KPIs, metrics, and success measures for each project and process improvement initiative.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with division, business unit, and department leaders to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Facilitate collaboration between IT, Business Innovation, and other teams to ensure successful project execution and process optimization.
- Innovation & Exploration:
- Identify, test, and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance business operations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Foster a culture of exploration and continuous improvement within the team.
- Demonstrate ability to navigate ambiguity and define use cases for innovative solutions.
- Team Development:
- Mentor and guide Business Solutions Support and Specialist team members to enhance their skills and contributions.
- Actively prepare to transition into the Business Innovation Manager role, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
- 3-5 years of career-focused work experience, preferably in IT or project management.
- Experience / Understanding of ERP / accounting system principles, general functionality, and operational benefits.
- Proven ability to manage projects with changing scopes and ambiguous requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work across multiple business units and adapt to diverse work environments.
- Skilled in navigating a blended environment of projects and issue resolution needs.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft applications, data visualization and management tools, and project management / ticketing systems.
- Familiar with secure data transfer protocols and communications.
- Experience with building integration and automation processes.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and user story development.
- Knowledge / Understanding of ADD Systems, Microsoft Dynamics, PDI, SAP, or other ERP tools.
- Previous experience in data transformation concepts.
