Specialist, Corporate Security - Contract Security Guard Operations

Overview

The Specialist will be responsible for reviewing security contract guard activity at all Company locations with contractguards. Verify contract guard agencies adhere to the terms and conditions set forth in the contracts, the guards abide by theirpost orders and follow all applicable Company policies and procedures. Investigate guard deficiencies, monitor theirperformance and interact with all Company facility managers and Corporate Security Investigators to verify the guardstake proper security measures regarding the protection of Company facilities, personnel, and equipment. Prepare COS reports and Actionlines as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

- Work varied schedules at the discretion of the Director. Provide leadership in hectic situations. Prioritize asset protection within the territory.

- Implement proactive asset protection evaluations and strategies to safeguard company assets stored within the companys facilities.

- Prepare Contractor Oversight Reports.

- Qualify new security guard companies as vendors.

- Team with the Corporate Security Technical Unit to recommend cost effective electronic security systems to protect facility perimeters and the assets held within.

- Manage the oversight of contract guard performance ensuring that the post orders and contract specifications are adhered to within the territory.

- Interact with executive management to discuss security vulnerabilities and recommendations with an aim to better protect the personnel and equipment resources of the company.

- Perform special assignments as requested by the Director- Corporate Security.

- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

- High School Diploma/GED and minimum of 5 years related experience

Relevant Work Experience

- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage numerous security incidents concurrently, is required.

- Experience with the Contractor Oversight System, is preferred.

- Prior experience working with security guard companies is preferred.

- Knowledge of the different types of security guard licenses utilized at CEI a plus, is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

- Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

- Perform extended driving through heavy traffic and severe off-road conditions

- Ability to climb ladders and stairs

- Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday

- Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses

- Work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends, and holidays

- Use personal vehicle(s), and be able to transport, store, and secure company laptops and other job-related equipment in vehicle. Acknowledge that reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure

Additional Physical Demands

- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
