Join Our Customer Care Billing Team as a Billing Specialist! HRSD is looking for a detail-oriented and team-driven Billing Specialist to support and enhance the operations of our Customer Care Center’s billing team. This position offers a blend of in-office collaboration and flexible Work From Home (WFH) arrangements. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, with an eight-hour workday flexible between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM—closed on holidays.
Under broad guidance, the Billing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Customer Care Center by coordinating daily workflow and providing guidance to a team of Customer Care Representatives in Billing. The billing team is responsible for accurately calculating and processing financial transactions, resolving data anomalies, and maintaining customer accounts within the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) system of 500,000+ active accounts for 20 counties and cities throughout HRSD’s service area, all with unique billing practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of utility billing principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to foster strong working relationships with a diverse team.
- 3 years progressive experience in billing, accounts receivable, customer service, data analysis, or comparable work environment. 3 years progressive leadership experience demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse groups of individuals.
- 3 years organizing, coordinating, and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
