Sourcing Contracts Manager

Job Brief Support procurement functions for operational & manufacturing sites across North America through leading the development and implementation of sourcing contracts and agreements.

What You’ll Do

As a Sourcing Contracts Manager, you will e ffectively support procurement functions for operational & manufacturing sites across North America through leading the development and implementation of sourcing contracts and agreements for raw materials and services, and negotiation and management of supply and service contracts for ongoing operational expenses. Other duties include:

- Creates contract documentation, including the development of the scope of services, performance requirements, and terms and conditions.

- Develops language that defines the delivery, service, quality, and pricing for services or products procured. Ensures language is clear and consistent and coordinates with all business units and stakeholders to ensure all protocols, procedures, and requirements are developed in accordance with the company’s needs

- Understand and monitor current market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges.

- Collaborate with Sourcing Managers, as well as manufacturing and operational managers to establish short-term and long-term business objectives

- Direct and lead negotiation process for key supply agreements and ensure successful implementation

- Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, establish and consistently challenge contractual minimums and maximums, and focus on meeting contractual obligations.

- Provide guidance to Buyers regarding contractual matters and enforcement of contracts

- Directs and leads negotiations around complex contractual matters; executes contracts within company signature authority guidelines. Strong collaboration with Legal Department

- Determines how to meet management objectives for company-wide savings and risk reduction initiatives

What We're Looking For:

- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferably in Supply Chain/Procurement or the Chemical Industry.

- 10+ years related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience - 5+ years of experience in Contract and Supplier Management or Strategic Sourcing in a medium to large complex organization

- Ensure the on-going alignment of operational and business goals associated with the assets

- Strategic negotiation skills, with a focus on supplier engagement

- Ability to support the creation of contractual scope of works and set KPI’s for supplier performance management
