The Senior Sourcing Manager of Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing the relationships and performance of a company’s suppliers. This role involves ensuring that suppliers meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements while maintaining strong partnerships that contribute to the company’s overall supply chain efficiency.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead all sourcing and vendor quoting activities, providing tracking, source options guidance to internal stakeholders, and generating cost savings opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply of materials and services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for supplier-related issues, ensuring timely resolution of any disputes or challenges.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve processes, reduce costs, and ensure continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement action plans to address any performance issues or areas for improvement.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure that supplier agreements align with company policies and objectives.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to support business needs and mitigate risks associated with single-source suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand material and service requirements and to develop sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
- Lead initiatives to consolidate the supplier base and drive cost savings while maintaining or improving quality and service levels.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain related to supplier performance, capacity, or financial stability, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that suppliers have contingency plans in place to handle potential disruptions, such as natural disasters, labor strikes, or other emergencies.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to manage and mitigate risks related to supplier quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to implement supplier-related improvement projects.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in supplier management and apply them to the organization’s supplier management strategy.

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or similar certification is advantageous.
