We are seeking a motivated Solutions Engineer to join our growing Digital team. This role will focus on enhancing and modernizing our existing Python-based workflows hosted on AWS, while developing new integrations between business platforms and incorporating logic that supports operational decision-making. The ideal candidate has a foundation in software development, is eager to learn modern cloud and integration frameworks, and can work closely with non-technical stakeholders to deliver practical, reliable solutions. This position is Hybrid located in Houston, TX office three days per week and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 5%.

- Maintain and enhance existing Python scripts hosted in AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2, or ECS).
- Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of current automation processes.
- Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring best practices.
- Build and maintain integrations between business platforms (CRM, ERP, project management systems) using APIs, SDKs, and modern integration frameworks.
- Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows for data exchange between systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that integrations align with business workflows.
- Incorporate business rules and conditional workflows into automated processes.
- Work with business teams to define requirements and translate them into code.
- Ensure that developed solutions improve data accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.
- Work closely with IT, analytics, and business operations teams to identify opportunities for automation and system improvements.
- Follow software development best practices, including version control, documentation, and code reviews.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend ways to improve tools and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3+ years of professional software development experience (internships or co-op considered for entry-level).- Proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON-based data exchange.
- Understanding of software development best practices (Git, testing, CI/CD concepts).
- Experience with modern frameworks or tools for integration (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django, AWS Step Functions, Apache Airflow).
- Knowledge of ETL tools or middleware platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi, Make.com, Zapier).
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks or low-code platforms for rapid interface development.
- Basic knowledge of databases (SQL).
- Understanding of business workflows in construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries.
