We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Solar Technician Supervisor to lead our field technician team. This position is responsible for overseeing solar system installations, service and maintenance, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and efficient project execution. The ideal candidate has a strong background in solar PV systems, leadership experience, and a passion for renewable energy.
- Supervise and lead a team of solar technicians in residential and commercial projects
- Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and monitor field operations
- Ensure all installations and service work adhere to company standards and local electrical codes
- Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and apprentices
- Conduct site inspections and final quality assurance checks
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper usage of materials and tools
- Enforce safety protocols and manage incident reporting
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
- Assist with complex troubleshooting and escalated service calls
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews for field staff
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in solar PV installation or maintenance
- At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- NABCEP certification (preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC codes, and solar installation best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
