Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols. As a Solar Installer, you will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and high-quality installations.
Duties
•
Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
•
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
•
Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations safely and effectively.
•
Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) during all installations.
•
Perform electrical work related to high voltage and low voltage systems as needed.
•
Conduct site assessments to evaluate installation conditions and requirements.
•
Collaborate with commercial electricians to integrate solar systems into existing electrical infrastructure.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
Requirements
•
Proven experience in solar installation or related fields such as electrical or construction work.
•
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment used in the industry.
•
Knowledge of NEC regulations and standards for electrical installations.
•
Experience working with high voltage systems is preferred; low voltage experience is a plus.
•
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
•
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
•
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
•
Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
