What Does the Solar Installer Position Do?
The Solar Installer installs residential solar systems daily. This position is for someone who has experience with or a strong to desire to learn all aspects of residential rooftop solar systems from the panels down the AC connections at the main service panel. In this role you will be a part of a team of Solar Installers during our Detach & Reset Projects, along with participating in complete system upgrade projects. Additional duties and descriptions include:
Be compensated on a per project basis allowing you to earn up to $6,500.00/month or $1,500.00/week.*
Earn up to $600/week in bonuses*
Main Duties:
1. Removing and reinstalling solar flashings
2. Removing and reinstalling solar rail systems
3. Removing and reinstalling solar hardware (mids, ends)
4. Removing and reinstalling solar panels
5. Removing and reinstalling solar wiring and grounding
6. Cleaning solar systems with water fed pole and brush.
7. Operate company vehicle safely and responsibly
8. Learn to identify nonfunctioning or non-serviceable solar panels, hardware,
microinverters, optimizers, junction boxes, inverters, disconnects, and breakers, and
conduit.
9. Learn how to remove old solar systems and the reinstall hybrid upgraded (or
retrofitted) solar panel systems.
Additional Skills:
•Be able to safely drive a company truck daily (clean driving record) navigating and managing your time
•Troubleshoot and repair residential solar systems
•Create material lists for larger repair projects
•Interact with solar owners daily, describing their issues, and their options to fix their system.
•Be able to learn and become comfortable with our various software platforms that we use to run day to day operations and interact with our customers.
•Be able to perform inspections of residential solar panels systems.
•Participate in the assessment, removal, sourcing, and re-installation of residential solar panel systems on various roof types.
•Be familiar with working alongside the basic trades and associated tools of roofing, carpentry, metal framing, and electrical work.
•Be capable of operating as a team member in harsh weather conditions on top of roofs.
•Interact with customers and coworkers at a professional level, able to work both independently and as part of a multi-tasking team.
•Provide complete and thorough documentation and reports upon completion of each assigned job via our software.

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
