Solar Environment LLC is a family owned business that started in 2021. Most of our work comes from a couple companies that have been around for over a decade. We employ a small group, that works tightly day to day. The work environment is always positive and always looking to improve and grow the business. We're looking for a team member that can bring a competent, reliable, and hard working attitude to our business.
· 35-45 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
- 2+ years previous experience in the solar industry or 1+ years in construction. - 1+ year experience operating medium equipment (skid steer). - 1+ year welding experience
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
- At least a Highschool Degree.
- Safely support the onsite project manager in the completion of roof and ground mount solar systems.
- Stage materials on site.
- Assist in site layout and strategy.
- Operate a Vermeer (skid steer) with ground screw installation mast attachment.
- Operate gas air compressor and generator
- Construction of Off Grid, Hybrid, and Grid tied solar systems
- Assist in site inspections and troubleshooting of solar arrays across NY and CT
- Safely drive truck, trailer, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Maintain a respectful, professional and responsive relationship with customers
- Load job-specific components and equipment to ensure all necessary tools and materials arrive safely on the job site.
- Maintain knowledge of safe construction work practices and procedures including OSHA, Dig Safe, and other requirements.
- Make sure equipment is safely and securely stored at the end of each workday.
- Must be reliable and show up on time. Work days start at 7am.
- Expectation to be a team player. We are small so everyone MUST work together
- Must have a clean and valid drivers license (non-CDL)
- Experience driving trucks with trailers.
- Willingness to travel for overnights a few times a month.
- Must have excellent customer service skills in every interaction.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with others.
- Ability to succeed in a fast paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to lift over 100 lbs at shoulder height.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Code of Conduct– act accordingly as a guest at our client’s project sites.
- Strong desire to work for a renewable energy company, and interest in developing professionally.
