Software Developer

Job Title: Software Developer Location: Montgomery, AL 36104 (Onsite) Type: Contract – 11 Months (Renewal likely) Experience Required: State Government, Medicaid, CHIP, DHR, Healthcare Visa & Payment Terms: (USC, GC & H4EAD- W2 & 1099)

Role Overview:

Design, develop, test, implement, and support .NET applications and SQL solutions. Work with business analysts/customers to translate requirements into full-stack solutions aligned with IT standards. Responsible for end-to-end SDLC including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Full stack development in C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MVC, SQL

- REST API development (Controllers, Services, Interfaces)

- SQL Database Development: Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers, Indexes, Cursors, T-SQL, Performance Tuning, SQL Profiler

- Cloud/Data Tools: SSIS, Azure Data Factory

- Agile SDLC participation, documentation, and code review

- Production support & ongoing enhancements

- Mentoring junior developers & improving standards

- Automated testing (unit & regression)

- Research & recommend new tools/technologies

Required Skills/Experience:

- 5+ years in .NET (C#) and SQL Development with Agile process

- Hands-on with SDLC and project methodology

- Strong in complex SQL queries & performance tuning

- Solid communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Skills/Experience:

- 7+ years in .NET/SQL (Agile)

- Knowledge of IIS Administration, JavaScript frameworks, IBM SoftwareAG webMethods, InRules, SSRS

- Tools: Azure DevOps / TFS

- Experience with State Government, Medicaid, CHIP, DHR, Healthcare

- Relevant certifications

Education:

- Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Information Systems (or equivalent experience)

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
