The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is a federal nonprofit wholesale power marketer that provides electricity from 31 federal dams and one nuclear plant to millions of consumers and businesses across eight states. This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Developer/ Programmer. The role of the Software Developer/Programmer will be to develop and write computer programs to store, locate and retrieve soecific doucments, data and information. May also program websites. This program may also research, design, develop and test operating systems-level software, compilers and network distribution software for computing applications, set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.
- Proficiency in Computer Science and Software Development
- Experience in Back-End Web Development and Programming
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience in the energy sector is a plus
