Purpose

:

As a Junior Software Developer at BayWa r.e. Operation Services, you will assist in the development of the company's internal Salesforce platform, build and manage custom software tools, and implement data solutions that reduce overhead, increase revenue, and improve our customer experience.

The role will consist of approximately 60% salesforce support and 40% custom tool development. Your daily tasks will include communicating with stakeholders, delivering work items in planned agile sprints, providing help desk style support, and proposing innovative solutions to problems. Examples of work items include creating and maintaining Salesforce-related automations using Flows and Apex, building software solutions for automating tasks, assisting in the management of our Amazon AWS environment, developing and managing reports to provide valuable insights, and identifying business processes to develop solutions that enhance efficiency.

A specific focus will be on change management practices and work item tracking, under the mentorship of the OT engineering manager and senior software architect, to ensure smooth transitions and timely completion of tasks. This role requires an understanding of the Salesforce platform, proficiency in Apex and Flow development, strong software development skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Good communication skills are essential to explain technical concepts to non-technical personnel. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in a diverse set of technology stacks and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Position Responsibilities

:

- Salesforce

- Develop and maintain Salesforce automations using Flows and Apex.

- Assist in planning, testing, and rolling out system updates and enhancements.

- Provide Tier 1–2 support to end-users and deliver targeted training as needed.

- Build reports, dashboards and training modules for end-users.

- Software Development

- Design, build, & deploy lightweight custom software tools to support internal operations.

- Change Management:

- Collab with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify gaps, and propose solutions.

- Participate in conversations for process discovery and enhancement development.

- Operate within Agile sprints, clearly communicate task status, blockers, and timelines.

- Track and manage changes using Git. Participate in version-controlled deployments.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for internal tools and Salesforce.

- Assist in planning, testing, and rolling out system updates and enhancements.

Required Experience

:

- Salesforce Service Cloud Custom Development

- Proficiency in Software Development

- Versed in Agile Sprint Planning, Change Management

- Familiarity with Git Version Control

Preferred Experience

:

- Salesforce Field Service Cloud

- Salesforce Admin Certification

- Salesforce Integrations and Data Management.

- Power BI Report Development

- Amazon AWS Services (IoT Sitewise, Lamda, S3, Grafana)

Location

:

- Fully Remote or Hybrid (Carlsbad, CA)

- Willing and able to travel domestically (approximately 5%).

Education, Licenses, and Certificates

:

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

- Salesforce Certified Admin Certification preferred but not required.

Other Skills and Abilities

- High proficiency writing out training guides.
