Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Slitter Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various machining processes. As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for operating slitting machines to cut materials into specified widths and lengths while ensuring quality standards are met.

Duties

- Operate slitting machines to cut materials accurately according to specifications.

- Perform setup and adjustments on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand job requirements.

- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met.

- Utilize various hand tools and knowledge applicable to the handling and warehousing of steel coils

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Experience

- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment like Cranes and Forklift is preferred.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in manufacturing processes.

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.

- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents effectively.

- Experience in quality inspection processes to ensure product standards are upheld.
