Slitter Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating slitting machines, ensuring precision and quality in the production of sheet metal products. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality inspection, and adherence to manufacturing standards.

Duties and responsibilities

- To set up and operate slitting machines

- Carry and supply materials to the machines.

- Regular inspections of material through processing

- Operators will be cross-trained to operate different machines.

- Help train other machine operators.

- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

- 1 year of machine operation experience is preferred.

- Competent use of calipers and wrenches

- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Must be able to enter production data into the computer.

- Production line experience in manufacturing.

- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.

- Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
