Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, timelines, work is being performed per drawings and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Duties
•Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
•Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and laborers, providing guidance and support as needed.
•Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for management on timelines, budgets, and any potential issues.
•Utilize construction management software to track project schedules, resources, and budgets effectively.
•Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and standards.
•Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules using Primavera or similar tools.
•Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. Sometimes that means you are picking up debris and nails or sweeping.
Skills
•Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
•Proficiency in construction management software including , HeavyBid, and Primavera.
•Excellent project scheduling abilities with a keen eye for detail.
•Familiarity with quality control processes in a construction environment.
•Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
•Experience with tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical work is a plus.
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team on-site.
•Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
