Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations on our residential job sites. This role is critical to ensuring that each home is built to the highest standards of quality, safety, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely in partnership with our Project Manager to keep projects running smoothly and ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Oversee and manage all aspects of single-family home construction projects from start to finish

•

Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters on the job site

•

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and onsite labor

•

Validate all material deliveries for accuracy in quantity and quality, and promptly address any discrepancies or damages

•

Proactively anticipate the need for miscellaneous materials and place orders as required to prevent project delays

•

Ensure strict adherence to construction schedules established by the Project Manager and uphold the high-quality standards set by our company

•

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications

•

Troubleshoot and resolve any onsite issues or delays

•

Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports to the Project Manager and weekly progress photos

•

Communicate effectively with homeowners, Project Manager, and the internal team to keep projects on track

•

Provide strong on-site leadership and effectively manage field staff to ensure smooth project execution

•

Ensure the job site remains in full compliance with all neighborhood covenants and restrictions throughout the entire construction process

•

Oversee and manage all job site equipment to ensure proper use, maintenance, and security

•

Ensure all required inspections are scheduled, implemented, and passed in a timely manner, in alignment with the project schedule

•

Ensure that project work stage checklists (e.g., Rough-In, Project Completion, Punch List) are fully completed and properly documented

•

Assist in the creation of punch lists in collaboration with the owner and Project Manager

•

Be proficient in locating, reading, and understanding the project schedule to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks

Qualifications:

•

10+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5+ years as a Superintendent, preferably in single-family home construction

•

Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety standards, and best practices

•

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate diverse teams

•

Ability to perform material takeoffs to accurately calculate the correct material quantities needed for the project.

•

Proficiency with basic technology, including email, smartphones, CompanyCam, and Google Calendar

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

•

Strong communication and leadership abilities

•

Proficient at interpreting plans and construction documents

•

Ability to understand and adhere to the construction schedule, including recognizing critical paths and effectively managing changes

•

Ability to effectively navigate and resolve conflicts related to design, collaborating with the Project Manager when necessary

•

Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and safe driving behavior

•

Positive, can-do attitude with a strong ability to work collaboratively as a team player

•

Ability to work comfortably in a construction environment, including the potential for challenging or varying work conditions

•

Ability to handle the physical demands of a construction environment, including lifting heavy materials, and proficiency with tools commonly used on the job site
