The Bearings, Seals, and Hydraulics (BSH) Division’s Operations Team has an immediate opening for a Shop Scheduler located at the BSH Facility in Euclid, Ohio.
The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for supporting the planning and scheduling of power generation components flowing through the shop. This position will coordinate between shop operations and the engineering team to meet the customer’s needs and expectations. This candidate will ensure timely deliverables by tracking and managing project action items in collaboration with the engineering team to ensure the required progress is reached.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the internal departments (Production/Engineering) to ensure project timelines are feasible and in line with customer needs. Including staffing, materials, and availability of resources.
- Provide feedback to the commercial group to establish or adjust labor and materials regarding cost and pricing. Including any discovery work, to deliver projects as scheduled.
- Serve as the point of contact for customers with workflow (arrival, in process, completion, delivery), ensuring effective and efficient communication of project status.
- Provide customer communication regarding updates on workflow projects, including reviewing status, scheduling, changes, etc.
- Communicate with internal departments (production, engineering, commercial) any scheduling concerns/changes, including manpower, materials, purchases, and outside services.
- Attend daily WIP meetings to update all departments with project status. Responsible to update Commercial with changes that impact costs and pricing.
- Accountable for confirmation of components received are accurate to the customers’ description and are in condition as work quoted is agreeable.
- Understand the critical importance of shop load and capacity aligning with scheduled/current projects and emergent work quoting.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels for min/max usage and ensure accurate mix and quantities are in stock. Including reviewing, planning and adjustment for current and future workflow based on outage forecast schedules.
- Assist in the workflow process by planning, executing, and closing projects accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to support emergent work components for completion including nights and weekends as required during unplanned and scheduled outages.
- Provide communication of updates with critical projects off hours as necessary.
- Travel less than 5% to other MD&A shop locations and customer sites as needed.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Technology, or related discipline); work experience in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience with a demonstrated track record of success in a comparable role.
- One year of Production planning scheduling experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment as the expectations that you will frequently engage with operations and production groups.
- Experience with ERP systems, EPICOR, Oracle or SAP.
- Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, V-lookups) and Business Intelligence Tools or SQL is a plus.

- Technical background highly preferred.

- Mechanical inclination with the ability to apply knowledge to hands-on solutions.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain organized while doing so.
Physical Demands:
Exposure to repair shops and office environments; Ability to travel to various shops within MD&A and to field locations both domestically and internationally as needed. Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
