In Canada, CNOOC International has oil sands assets in Long Lake, located in northern Alberta just south of Fort McMurray, which is a SAGD and partial Upgrader operation with production capacity of 85,000 barrels of bitumen a day. We also have interest in several other oil sands projects, including Hangingstone, operated by Greenfire Resources Operating Corporation and Syncrude’s oil sands mining upgrading facility. In addition to our oil sands business, we have shale gas land in Northeast British Columbia, a power station in Balzac, Alberta, and interest in a wind farm in southern Alberta. Calgary is our regional corporate office for all North America.
This position is an 12 months contractor role; the successful candidate will be onboarded through a third-party contracting agency.
- 5~10 years relevant experiences
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and skilled in applying Critical Path Method (CPM) for project planning and scheduling
- Familiar with Canadian and Alberta industry practices and schedule standards within the oil and gas sector
- Certificate:
- AACE - PSP
- Prepares, presents and obtains approval of the overall project schedule
- Coordinating the overall project schedule activities by gathering data from contractors
- Must have a good understanding of the work processes on all phases of a project
- Identifies and prepares variance reports on schedule deviation and its impact with regards to the end date and interim milestones
- Make recommendations regarding schedule recovery and the resources required to achieve recovery
- Capable and responsible for preparation of the project schedule risk assessment periodically and as needed
- Makes sure examples of all schedules plus descriptions are gathered in a proper format for inclusion in the Project Controls closeout report
- Assists in the training of junior staff by providing guidance in work methods and procedures
