What You’ll Do
As a Production Scheduler, you’ll be the central hub for planning and coordinating our production schedule to ensure 99% on-time delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction. In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain a master production schedule that aligns with business, inventory, and shipping goals
- Partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Production to forecast capacity and support long-term planning
- Proactively resolve supply, demand, and capacity challenges while maximizing labor and equipment efficiency
- Implement and improve visual scheduling processes on the production floor
- Monitor order status, identify delays, and communicate risks to leadership
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of production data and inventory levels
- Assess scheduling systems and ERP effectiveness, recommending improvements as needed
- Track schedule attainment and maintain accurate shipment dates
- Support inventory reconciliation, monthly cycle counts, and closing activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure clear communication of engineering changes and manufacturing variances
- Associate’s degree in Business or Operations Management preferred
- 3+ years of planning/scheduling experience, ideally in SKU-based, repetitive manufacturing- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including queries), with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with QAD ERP system is a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset with a solution-oriented approach
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes, capacity planning, ERP systems, and lean manufacturing principles
