About This Job
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by utilizing hand tools and power tools to assist in the fabrication and assembly of products. This position requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
•
Operate hand tools and power tools to fabricate components as per specifications.
•
Assist with assembly line tasks, ensuring that products are assembled accurately and efficiently.
•
Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the shop or warehouse environment.
•
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
•
Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
•
Safely operate forklifts as needed for moving materials within the facility.
•
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the manufacturing area.
Qualifications
•
Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or warehouse setting is preferred.
•
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
•
Experience working on an assembly line is a plus.
•
Ability to lift and move materials as required, including operating forklifts safely.
•
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
•
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
