WHAT YOU’LL DO…
We are seeking a dedicated Production Lead Hand to join our Paint Department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating key production activities, including polishing, sandblasting, powder coating, assembly, and decal printing. You will ensure that all products move through the production process safely, efficiently, and in alignment with our quality standards.In this hands-on role, you won’t just supervise, you’ll inspire. You’ll lead by example, motivate your team, and support our positive work culture!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage and coordinate the movement of products through polishing, sandblasting, powder coating, assembly, and decal printing to the next work area.
•Assist in forecasting production workloads and allocating appropriate manpower to ensure alignment with daily priorities, the overall production schedule, and shipping deadlines. Monitor for any deviations and support the development of corrective action plans to maintain schedule adherence
•Plan truck runs to ensure the maximum number of tasks are completed with each delivery.
•Oversee all paint and assembly Quality Control (QC) checks, ensuring issues are identified and resolved effectively.
•Oversee all paint and assembly Quality Control (QC) checks, ensuring any non-conformances are promptly identified, reported to the Quality or Production Manager, and documented through the appropriate Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process.
•Collaborate with other Lead Hands, Managers, Engineers, and the Supply Chain team to keep production on track and support operational success.
•Review order material requirements in advance, including stock items to ensure the team can perform the work as scheduled.
•Assist in regular checks of stock and Work-In-Progress (WIP) inventory.
•Oversee the printing and application of decals, ensuring they meet quality standards.
•Ensure parts and materials are properly issued to Work Orders in the system by team members.
•Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain Standard Work Documents.
•Provide instruction and training to production workers on how to properly operate the various tasks in accordance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
•Identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities in the production department.
•Coach and support staff, address performance concerns, and help develop team members.
•Monitor inspection forms, keep the work area clean and organized, and ensure 6S standards are met.
•Partner with Quality Control, Engineering, management, and the safety committee to continuously improve products, processes and the work environment.
•Participate in production and company-wide meetings as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Proven experience in a team lead or senior production role is required
•A background in a manufacturing environment is essential
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Basic working knowledge of health and safety regulations and workplace compliance standards
•Ability to perform effectively under pressure and consistently meet production deadlines

•This is an on-site position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC)
•This position works Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
