Tri-Arc Manufacturing is currently seeking a 2nd Shift, Shipping Supervisor for our plant located in Blawnox, PA. Tri-Arc with a Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm, work schedule (hours and schedules may vary based on business demands). As Shipping Supervisor, you will oversee and manage shipping operations from start to finish by leading a shipping team, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to customers while simultaneously maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of shipping and logistics processes, and reliable attendance is an absolute necessity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Lead, supervise, and train a team of shipping personnel.
•Ensure smooth operations of the shipping department, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
•Plan, organize, and prioritize daily shipping activities to meet customer demands and deadlines.
•Coordinate and communicate with other production departments, sales, and customer service, to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any shipping-related issues.
•Oversee the packaging, labeling, and loading of products for shipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards, shipping regulations and specific customer requirements.
•Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory control teams to ensure accurate stock management and prevent shortages or overages.
•Develop and implement shipping strategies and procedures to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
•Monitor and analyze shipping performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
•Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in shipping and logistics, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operations.
Position Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; and/or 3-5 years of previous managerial/supervisory experience in shipping and logistics
•Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation.
•Familiarity with inventory management systems and software for tracking shipments.
•Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
•Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
•Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with vendors and customers.
•Proficiency in using shipping software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
