Shipping Clerk

Deister Machine Company is seeking a qualified Shipping Clerk for 1st shift

SUMMERY:

Requisitions transportation from traffic manager to ship plant products by performing the following duties.

DUTIES:

- Boxing of parts

- Weighing machines and parts

- Completing all paperwork; BOL, etc.

- Labeling as required

- Installing ID tags

- Installing parts as needed

- Loading of machines, mechanisms, and parts

- Cutting material as needed

- Building boxes, pallets, & stands as needed

- May work in other departments as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be able to read a tape measure and understand shop orders and drawings

- Must be able to learn the shipping process

- Must be proactive and a self-starter

- Must have good attendance

- Must be able to work overtime in the AM or PM (be flexible)

- Must work well with others

- Must be able to problem solve & trouble shoot in real time
