Shipping Clerk / Forklift Driver

Custom Aluminum Products, a 65 year old aluminum extrusion company with locations in South Elgin and Genoa, IL, is seeking a Shipping Clerk/General Warehouse/Forklift Driver for 1st shift in our Genoa, IL location in our shipping department.

Essential Duties and Description:

- Communicate with supervisor on what material needs to be picked and staged for shipping.

- Receive instructions on how the material is to be prepped (quantity of boxes/bundles, package, skid type)

- Scan all bundles/boxes per pick list and verify quantities

- Receive material from vendors/customers and send to correct departments

- Enter shipping information into computer system

- Operate the forklift in a safe manner at all times

- Maintain fluid levels in assigned forklift

- Empty scrap hoppers throughout facility

- Load and unload delivery trucks as needed

- Perform any general material-handling/shipping tasks as instructed by supervisor

- Properly fill out daily forklift checklist form.
