Kinect Solar, LLC, is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Certified Forklift Operator with proven warehousing experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, inventory management, and general warehouse operations. This role is critical to maintaining our operational efficiency and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.
- Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, reach trucks) to load, unload, stack, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections on all equipment to ensure safety and functionality and report any maintenance needs or issues immediately.
- Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments, checking for discrepancies or damages.
- Efficiently and accurately stage and load outbound shipments, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure packaging.
- Manage and organize inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring accurate product placement and accessibility.
- Utilize RF scanners or other inventory management systems to track and record material movements.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping, removing debris, and disposing of waste.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team, supervisors, and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow and meet production goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA-compliant preferred).
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehousing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory and order verification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Worked with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Extensive WMS is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Ability to operate equipment safely.
