Shipping and Receiving Team Lead

Didion Orf Recycling is a leader in the recycling industry, specializing in the recovery and processing of scrap metals and electronics. We are committed to environmental sustainability and responsible recycling practices. We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Lead to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone with previous team lead, supervisory, or leadership experience in a warehouse or Shipping/Receiving environment.

The Shipping and Receiving Lead will be responsible for:

- Overseeing and participating in inspection and inventory of all incoming and outgoing materials.

- Verifying items received using the ERP system and ensuring accurate documentation.

- Ensuring all materials are packaged, labeled, and staged correctly for shipment or processing.

- Performing quality control checks on purchased materials and providing feedback to the team.

- Leading by example when loading and unloading trailers and containers quickly and safely.

- Accurately documenting and verifying incoming and outgoing weights.

- Coordinating material flow to dismantlers and other internal departments.

- Organizing and maintaining inventory areas to ensure efficient workflow.

- Promoting and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment (general housekeeping).

- Assisting in training and mentoring new team members.

- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

- 1–2+ years of experience in a team lead, supervisory, or leadership role (preferred). - 2+ years sit-down forklift experience. - Must be 18+ years of age. - Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.

- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.

- Strong face-to-face and radio communication skills.

- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with both team members and customers.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to coach and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment.
