About the Team

The Metal Fabrication team is currently seeking an individual with metal working experience for our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. The Metal Fabrication team includes welders, material grinders, manufacturing associates, and powder coat painters, working together to build, assemble, and ship products for the commercial landscape construction industry.

About the Role

As a Metal Worker, you will work under the direction of the Metal Fabrication Team Lead and directly with the production team processing steel and other materials using saws, rolling equipment, drill presses, punches, grinders and other metal processing equipment. You’ll also work on custom projects, reading directly from CAD drawings and blueprints to fabricate products. You’ll be based in our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility and have a hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in very way.

What You Will Do

- Read and interpret production orders; project plans; blueprints; or other written instructions to perform assigned duties

- Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble products according to production schedule

- Grind metal product smooth for powder coat painting

- Inspect the quality of the material before, during, and after the various processes to ensure quality standards are met

- Report defective material and faulty equipment to Production Manager immediately

- Maintain a clean work environment and abide by all plant safety regulations and work rules

- Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Need

- Experience working in metal manufacturing

- Ability to read CAD drawings and measuring tape

- Ability to lift more than 50lbs, jib cranes are available in most workstations

- Strong attention to detail

- Reliable transportation, regular attendance and punctuality are critical

Physical Demands

Candidate must have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, life and carry objects (up to 50lbs), and perform repetitive tasks. Other physical demands may include reaching, bending, stooping, and working in various environmental conditions like temperature variations, dust or noise levels.

The pay range for this role is:

18 - 19 USD per hour(Port Orchard, WA)
