Service Project Manager is responsible for managing customer service requests for the Controls and Digitalization group reporting to the Service Operations Manager. The Service Operations group is responsible for supporting customers with installed Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Excitations Systems.
Execution of these requests could range from service contracts, fixed price projects, and time and material jobs. The service operations group is a 24/7 operation and the face to the customer. We seek responsible people with exceptional self-starting capabilities. Technically competent to assess customer needs and troubleshoot issues efficiently. Communicate professionally in difficult situations. Manage complex projects involving multiple internal and external groups.
- Managing individual service contracts.
- Execute fixed price projects.
- Create and deliver time & material quotes.
- Create and deliver parts quotes.
- Collaborate with commercial group on forecasting revenue and submitting invoices.
- Collaborate with proposal group on development of proposals.
- Collaborate with sales personnel on customer requests
- Participate in resource planning meetings.
- Participate in customer outage planning meetings.
- Bachelor degree in one of the applicable fields, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Digital Control Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
- 5 year experience with the following processes, Combustion Turbines (CT), Steam Turbines (ST), or Boilers.
- A general knowledge of power plant operations.
- Knowledge with the following business concepts: Fixed Price offers, Time and Material offers, Contractual Terms and Conditions, Cost and Revenue calculations.
- Positions requires 30% travel time.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification.
- Proposal development.
- Engineering change management processes.
