IMM has an immediate opening for a full time Project Manager. The Project Manager role at Industrial Machine & Mfg. Inc., focuses on leading multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery of fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly initiatives. The scope encompasses planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery while upholding quality, safety, and client standards.
- Large-scale pump, centrifuge and gearbox rebuilds, requiring coordination of multiple trades and equipment.
- Custom fabrication jobs involving heavy steel, specialized fit-ups, and multiple production phases.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project schedules, ensure adequate resources are available, and manage procurement of materials and subcontractors to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Monitor progress through regular reporting, forecasting, and status meetings, adjusting plans to address delays or unforeseen issues.
- Oversee cost management, including budget creation, purchase order control, invoice review, and cost reporting to project owners and clients.
- Ensure all project work complies with internal quality standards (ISO, customer specs) and external regulatory requirements, with proactive identification and implementation of corrective actions if non-conformance occurs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, welding, machining, mechanical, procurement, and quality assurance, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage change orders, scope changes, and client communication, documenting and communicating all updates to relevant parties promptly.
- Conduct project reviews, risk assessments, and lessons-learned sessions, driving a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Strong technical background in machining, welding, and mechanical assembly.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex industrial projects in manufacturing.
- Competence in scheduling (Gantt charts, project management systems), budget control, and quality management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
