Heimdall Power is seeking a Project Manager to support our growing customer base across North America. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate technical activities throughout the project lifecycle—from planning and installation to post-deployment support—ensuring accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction in all new installations, while also providing ongoing analytic and technical support.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams located in both the United States and Norway. The Project Manager must be a quick learner, able to rapidly understand the company’s products and services. The position demands a high level of responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Travel is an essential component of this job.
- Lead customer projects from initiation to completion:
- Define technical solutions
- Maintain detailed project plans
- Coordinate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and manage escalations as needed
- Provide regular status updates to internal teams and customers
- Conduct key project management tasks, including:
- Line analysis
- Sensor commissioning
- Software deployment
- Integration of Heimdall Power’s solutions into customer’s Energy Management System (EMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
- Travel to project sites to support installations, facilitate system integrations, and deliver training to ensure successful deployment and customer adoption.
- Provide technical support and valuable insights to customers, by responding promptly to feedback, assisting with installations, and supporting ongoing maintenance and operational activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal technical teams and act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding new product releases, features, and technical updates.
- Assist the sales team by preparing proposals for RFPs, RFIs, and by supporting various stages of the sales process with technical and project related expertise.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
- Three years or more of experience in the power transmission and distribution industry, with preferred expertise related to EMS/SCADA systems
- A project management certification, such as PMP or PRINCE2, earned in the software as a service (SaaS) and/or IT sectors
- An ITIL certification is an advantage
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- A customer-centric attitude and previous experience in customer-facing roles in technical environments
- An ability to manage highly operational duties, participate in customer meetings, and oversee multiple projects with varying timelines simultaneously
- Experience working with industry protocols for data integration into EMS/SCADA systems
- Capability to work effectively as part of an international team
