Position Opening – Service & Customer Support Technician
Location: Pasadena, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Starting Pay: $20/hour + Benefits
W.L. Walker Co., Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Pasadena, Texas service team. This full-time role involves the repair and recalibration of W.L. Walker digital contact thermometers as well as verification of oil gauging tapes in accordance with API MPMS 3.1A standards.
Responsibilities:
•Perform diagnostic, repair, and calibration services on digital temperature equipment
•Verify gauging tapes used in custody transfer per API standards
•Interface with walk-in customers bringing in equipment for service
•Handle incoming phone calls and customer inquiries
•Support order entry, inventory control, and data entry via our ERP system (Sage 300)
•Use Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products for internal coordination
•Work with vendors, Tulsa office staff, and field sales personnel to coordinate service and deliveries
•Support local delivery efforts and occasional sales visits to customers as needed
•Participate in training sessions at our Tulsa, OK headquarters (occasional travel required)
Requirements:
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
•Professional demeanor and customer service skills
•Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn product-specific procedures
•Familiarity with ERP systems (especially Sage 300) preferred
•Competence in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
•Experience in the inspection, metrology, or petroleum measurement industries is a strong plus
•Must be dependable, organized, and team-oriented
