Responsibilities
•Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, kitchen/industrial, and special hazards systems.
•Conduct thorough inspections of fire protection equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to restore system functionality.
•Collaborate with clients to assess their fire protection needs and recommend appropriate system upgrades or modifications.
•Provide training to clients on the proper operation and maintenance of fire protection systems to promote safety awareness.
•Complete detailed documentation of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future enhancements.
•Stay informed about advancements in fire protection technology and industry best practices to continually improve service delivery.
•Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in fire protection systems preferred
•Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fire service technician or in a related field.
•Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as NFPA and local building codes.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
•Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage service requests and documentation.
•Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
•Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
•Must be willing to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
