POSITION DEFINITION: Senior Regulatory Specialist
The Senior Regulatory Specialist position is responsible for performing technical analyses to support cost of service ratemaking, rate design and consolidation proposals. The Senior Regulatory Specialist position is also responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing regulatory submissions to regulatory authorities while assuring all supporting documentation is accurate and in compliance with requirements.
Accountability
The Senior Regulatory Specialist is accountable for providing technical analyses in support of regulatory strategies and the business case for water rates, which includes review of expenses, capital budgets, water sales, revenues and CPUC policies. The Senior Regulatory Specialist is also accountable for ensuring timely preparation of regulatory submissions to appropriate authorities to meet regulatory requirements. The incumbent must communicate/interface with the authorized representatives, authorities, and other Regulatory agencies to achieve approval. The incumbent must provide on-going support to internal departments on regulatory issues and questions as well as provide documentation as needed for ongoing requirements. Required communication includes data gathering and coordination with operations and finance personnel as well as representing the company in communications with CPUC staff.

Compensation Information
The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
