Key Responsibilities:
•Manage an assigned production area, with an emphasis on new and existing horizontal wells producing on gas lift, rod pump, or plunger.
•Work closely with a full asset team field operations, marketing, reservoir, drilling, completions, facilities, geology, land, and regulatory groups
•Coordinate with the field operations teams to optimize base production and reduce downtime
•Spend time in the field on a weekly basis, or as needed for project support
•Manage and optimize chemical programs treating scale, corrosion, H2S, etc.
•Create AFE's for flowbacks, workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance operations
•Coordinate with wellsite supervisor and service providers to execute workover procedures
•Lead regularly scheduled well reviews with field operations and reservoir engineers
•Diagnose root cause of surface and subsurface failures, derive options for corrections, evaluate economics, execute corrective plan optimally, and perform lookbacks to improve systematic and reoccurring failures
•Monitor production/injection/disposal well performance and conduct reservoir surveillance to develop action plans to maximize the value of the asset
•Track and monitor LOE and capital spending to ensure compliance with budgets
•Demonstrate Health, Safety & Environmental leadership
•Demonstrate a willingness and ability to train and work with engineering techs to improve efficiency and effectiveness in all workflows, processes, and use of data analytics
•Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
•Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
•Experience: Minimum eight (8) years of experience in Production, Operations, and/or Reservoir Engineering in the Exploration & Production (E&P) or relevant industry
•Licensure: Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate company vehicle
