Senior Piping Designer

Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”), a growing oil & gas facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one role as a Senior Piping/Mechanical Designer.

Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services, civil and structural engineering, and construction management.

Responsibilities:

- Piping and Mechanical Design

- Design using AutoCAD CADWorx

- Ability to draft complex piping layouts and P&ID’s

- To be responsible for various project’s P&ID’s including the drafting and checking of Piping and Instrumentation Diagram’s according to our standards or client’s standard

- Adhere to procedures issued by company or client

- Adhere to client drafting procedures

- Meet drawing schedules and deliverables

- Able to lead a small Team of junior designers/drafters

- Check work and assist in the training of less experienced drafting personnel

- Other tasks/responsibilities, as required.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

- Required:

Graduate of an Engineering Design and Drafting program or Process Piping Drafting Certificate

- Required:

Proficient knowledge of CADWorx, AutoCAD, Navisworks and other CAD programs

- Required:

10+ years’ related experience at an EPC, specifically oil and gas facility projects

- Required:

Proficient As-Building experience

- Civil and Electrical design experience would be an asset

- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and MS Outlook

- Proficient knowledge of the English language, written and verbal

- Must be a team player and a self-starter

- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients
