Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior O&P Enforcement Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and be adept at communicating technical concepts to non-experts. This role requires a deep understanding of NERC reliability standards, compliance and regulatory standards, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to members. The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to industry regulations while providing insights that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
•Articulate the facts and circumstances, extent, and cause of each noncompliance and ensure the noncompliance disposition ties to the NERC Reliability Standard requirement.
•Assess the risk of each noncompliance and ensure the disposition appropriately and thoroughly describes the risk.
•Review mitigation and/or work with entity to develop mitigation for each noncompliance so that each noncompliance is corrected, and the mitigation prevents recurrence.
•Verify mitigation is completed through a review and documentation of mitigation evidence.
•Review and document the compliance history for each noncompliance.
•Conduct peer reviews of noncompliance dispositions drafted by other staff.
•Communicate with registered entities and the ERO Enterprise as necessary, to investigate O&P noncompliance and issues, and to assure appropriate and informed enforcement actions.
•Triage incoming noncompliance to identify violation facts, preliminary risk assessment, and complexity of the noncompliance.
•Ensure confidential information is identified, labeled, stored, and transferred in accordance with NPCC’s procedures for confidential information.
•Work closely with the Director, Enforcement, legal, and other NPCC staff to develop and/or review responses to oversight.
Experience
•10+ years' of proven experience in an electric utility industry, bulk power system planning, engineering, or utility operations.
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering, or other relevant degree.
•Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory management framework.
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner.
A Plus:
•NERC System Operator Certification
•Other electric power system operations and/or planning certifications.
•Experience in the qualitative assessment of system risk with respect to thermal, voltage, short circuit, and stability issues.
•Experience in protection system design and operation under emergency system conditions.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
