Senior Compliance Manager
We’re an early-stage startup developing sensitive, export-controlled technologies. We're building from scratch and looking for a systems-oriented leader to design and own our regulatory and quality infrastructure.
What You'll Do
•
Build and lead compliance programs for ITAR, EAR/BIS, and NRC
•
Define and implement secure facility processes for controlled technologies
•
Establish cybersecurity compliance aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC
•
Work directly with U.S. government agencies and industry partners on licensing, audits, and operational approvals
•
Lead development of SOPs, training, audits, and internal documentation
•
Collaborate with engineering, legal, and operations to ensure compliant growth
What You Bring
•
5+ years in export compliance or regulatory environments
•
Deep knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and NRC requirements
•
Experience with secure facility operations or classified environments
•
Proven ability to build systems and documentation from scratch
•
U.S. Citizenship (clearance-eligible)
Bonus Points
•
Experience with ISO 9001 or NQA-1 quality systems
•
Startup or small-team environment experience
•
Background in engineering, aerospace, defense, or nuclear
•
Familiarity with facility security design (e.g., SCIFs, CUI protocols)
