- Possess a firm knowledge of end-to-end management of an IT environment including Windows and Linux systems, virtualization, and storage.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN management systems, firewall management, switching, VPN systems, cellular communication systems, OSI Model, and mobile computing devices.
- Understand basics of cable plants, fiber optic links, and the ability to manage wiring for network and non-network devices. These devices sometimes require the use of ladders or lifts.
- Deep knowledge of IT Security principles, policies, and procedures.
- Management of cloud-based systems.
- Willingness to learn industry-specific systems and technologies.
- Management of vendor-supported systems.

- Ability to work well with others in training, teaching and explaining use of hardware and software.

- Occasional after-hours and on-call work.
Will report to the Vice President Utility Services.
Bachelor's degree in computer related field or equivalent with relevant work experience.
