SUMMARY:
The Senior Field Service Technician, Frac performs chemical treatment of oil wells and is the primary field representative to assist and answer customer questions or concerns.
- Assist supervisor with program and route scheduling
- Mentor and train employees in company processes and communicate progress to supervisor
- Support supervisor in completion of job reporting
- Communicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough manner
- Interact with customer and other site personnel to answer questions and resolve issues
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programs
- Oversee and ensure preventive maintenance/cleaning on pumps and trailers after use is completed
- Manage chemical inventory and transfer to and from location
- Set up and take down frac equipment
- Manage pumps, chemical lines, totes, rates and pressures
- Communicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough manner
- Interact with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issues
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programs
- Collect and record data and on occasion present to company man or well site supervisor
- Submit paperwork upon completion of frac
- Understand and perform inventory transfers (in/out)
- Knowledge of valve and well pressures while on oilfield locations
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization in yard and field operations
- Maintain company property in good order (equipment, tools, computer, phones, trucks, etc.)
- Other duties as may be assigned
- - Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build positive interpersonal relationships with cross functional teams and external parties
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with Company policy
- - 2-4 years of frac operations experience specifically in frac site operations, inventory management, and logistics
- Knowledge of various laws including but not limited to OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc. as well as regulations, codes and standards as they relate to the industry
- Frac equipment used in oil and gas operation
- Understanding of fundamental chemical properties (oil/water solubility)
- Experience in, and competent knowledge of, chemical treatment process
- Understanding of well and valve pressures
- Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
