Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Electrician to oversee electrical systems and projects within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in industrial electrical systems, a proven ability to lead teams, and a strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency. This role will involve maintaining and upgrading electrical infrastructure to support manufacturing equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
•Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, control panels, motors, and automated machinery, in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards.
•Ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols while utilizing power tools and hand tools to effectively complete tasks.
•Mentor junior electricians by providing guidance and training on best practices.
•Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues.
•Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in manufacturing equipment, such as conveyors, and PLC-controlled systems, to minimize production downtime.
•Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to execute projects accurately.
•Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and production managers to plan and implement electrical upgrades for manufacturing processes.
•Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and facility-specific safety standards, conducting regular inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
•Manage preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
•Document work performed, including maintenance logs, material usage, and project updates, to support operational efficiency.
•Stay current on advancements in industrial electrical technologies, such as energy-efficient systems or automation, to optimize facility performance.
•Occasional opportunities to assist with design, procurement, and installation of electrical/controls systems for large capital projects at any of our four manufacturing facilities located throughout the country.
Qualifications:
•License/Certification: Valid Master Electrician license preferred, not required.
•Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years working in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and low- to high-voltage systems, including 3 phase.
•Knowledge: In-depth understanding of NEC, OSHA regulations, and industrial safety standards specific to manufacturing facilities.
•Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills to address complex electrical issues.
•Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces.
•Preferred: Experience with automation systems, SCADA, or energy management systems is a plus. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
