Senior Electrical Engineer – Renewables (Solar + BESS)
Contract-to-Hire | Remote-First with Occasional Travel
We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer
to lead utility-scale renewable energy builds from early development through to commissioning and handoff.
This role is for someone who wants to:
•
Lead technical execution and enforce quality from concept to completion
•
Be the go-to for electrical design reviews, commissioning, and field support
•
Act as the owner's rep, coordinating across EPCs, third-party engineers, and internal teams
•
Keep projects on track and up to standard.
You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
•
Driving engineering standards and reviewing technical submittals
•
Supporting construction and commissioning teams in the field
•
Reviewing RFIs, redlines, specs, load calcs, and shop drawings
•
Managing third-party engineers and keeping EPCs aligned
What You Bring to the Table:
•
Degree in Electrical Engineering, PE is a bonus.
•
3+ years in utility-scale solar + BESS projects
•
Deep knowledge of electrical design, commissioning, and field workflows
•
Strong communication and leadership—you get people on the same page
•
Cool under pressure, comfortable on-site when needed, and driven to find solutions
