Your impact

A person working as Senior Chemist, performs analytical testwork to support Newmont global operations with prescribed procedures independently under minimal supervision. The employee in this classification is responsible for performing a broad range of analytical procedures and tasks, including some automated instrumentation. Additionally, the Senior Chemist will provide guidance and mentorship to other Chemists. This Sr. Chemist will perform other duties as directed and needed by the company.

This is a contract/temporary position with expected duration of 10-12 months with the possibility to extend longer based on performance and business requirements.

Your work environment

- The position works on-site at Newmont's Malozemoff Technical Facility in Englewood, CO.

- Maintains focus with repetitive tasks lasting 6-9 hours per day.

- Work with sample preparation equipment.

- Work with laboratory standard chemicals, chemicals awareness is a must.

- Wear personal protective equipment including steel toe shoes, safety glasses, respirator, earplugs, and gloves to perform duties safely.

- Willingness to put in extra hours as projects and priorities dictate.

- Work will be conducted in office and laboratory environments with occasional requirement to enter mine operating and office areas

The salary range offered for this overtime-eligible role is USD $34-40/hour. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
