The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the ongoing management, optimization, and expansion of the organization’s Workday platform. This role partners closely with HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure Workday modules are configured effectively, reporting needs are met, and system capabilities align with evolving business requirements. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative skills, with a focus on continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for all Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Absence, Payroll, Recruiting, or other implemented modules).
- Own configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of existing Workday functionality.
- Lead or support the implementation of new Workday modules and enhancements, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, data validation, and post-go-live support.
- Evaluate system performance and functionality, identifying opportunities to enhance usability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Design, build, and maintain standard and advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to translate reporting needs into actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and downstream systems.
- Support compliance, audit, and regulatory reporting requirements as needed.
- Review existing HR processes and system workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
- Recommend and implement process and system enhancements aligned with best practices and business goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, conducting root cause analysis and coordinating with vendors or internal teams as required.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex HRIS issues and provide expert guidance to HR partners.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Payroll, and Finance to ensure seamless integration and data flow across systems.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and clearly communicate impacts, risks, and options.
- Provide advanced user support, documentation, and training for HRIS processes and Workday functionality.
- Support change management efforts related to system updates and new functionality.
- Maintains compliance with all PTL policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.- 7+ years of HRIS experience, with significant hands-on experience administering and configuring Workday.
- Strong expertise in Workday reporting, including advanced, matrix, and composite reports.
- Proven experience supporting or leading Workday module implementations and enhancements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with integrations, EIBs, or data loads.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, information technology, or related field
- Workday certifications in one or more functional areas preferred
