We are looking for a Senior Advisor - Operational Excellence (OE) to play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cultural transformation across the organization. This position partners closely with Superintendents and Supervisors to coach, influence, and implement best practices, processes, and behaviors that align with business priorities and long-term goals.
This is a great opportunity to act as a subject matter expert in Lean, Six Sigma, and OE methodologies, supporting the deployment of operational and tactical initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence.
Reporting to Superintendent Operational Excellence and working in an exciting and unique environment within our Operational Excellence team, you will be responsible for:
- Act as a tactical and operational partner for Superintendents and Supervisors, providing guidance on problem-solving and improvement initiatives
- Influence middle management on strategy, processes, and behaviors to embed Operational Excellence principles and coach leaders on cultural change
- Support leadership teams in generating, prioritizing, and scoping OE initiatives aligned with annual and long-term business plans
- Collaborate with the Operational Excellence Business Partner to ensure compliance with standardized OE processes, systems, and tools
- Serve as an expert for assigned technical and behavioral best practices and conduct maturity health checks with follow-up action plans
- Facilitate project activities and monitor results related to efficiency, safety, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability
- Advise and coach on problem-solving tools such as charters, PPS, FLIR, and 5W to drive continuous improvement
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt, Green Belt, Kaizen) to deliver improvement initiatives and coach Green Belt practitioners
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and act as a change partner to influence mindset and behavioral shifts
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree is an asset
- Lean Six Sigma certification, with Black Belt strongly preferred
- Proven experience applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Rapid Problem Solving, and DMAIC project execution
- At least 8 years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or similar roles within industrial or mining environments
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams and facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution among stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines
- Track record of leading cultural change and implementing best practices across different organizational levels
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization, with strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant platforms

It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Tertiary qualification in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (completed or in progress)
- Experience in mining, processing, or other heavy industry environments
