We are seeking an Accounting Specialist who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to handle transactional bookkeeping and data entry, while also thinking critically about how systems, processes, and technology can work better. This role supports a multi-entity accounting environment and maintains books used for internal management and tax compliance (not GAAP reporting).
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, operationally strong, and curious about new tools and technologies, including emerging automation and AI capabilities that can improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibility over time.

- Partner with internal tax teams by maintaining tax-ready books and schedules
- Assist with entity-level compliance, documentation, and reporting needs
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting workflows, controls, and systems
- Stay informed on new accounting technologies, automation tools, and AI applications, and help assess where they can be applied responsibly
- Hands-on and execution-focused, with ownership beyond data entry
- Encourages curiosity about systems, process design, and new technology
- Embedded in a shared-services model supporting diverse businesses and investments
- Scope may expand to support additional activities involving Murfin, Inc. and its shareholders
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–7 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and close processes
- Comfort working directly in accounting systems and with transactional detail
- High attention to detail paired with a problem-solving mindset
